Maria Elena Bello, born on April 18, 1967, in the United States is an actress, producer, writer, and director. Permanent Midnight (1998), Payback (1999), Coyote Ugly ((2000), The Cooler (3), A History of Violence (2004), The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2009), Grown Ups (2010) and Prisoners (2013) were just a few of her film roles. On television, Bello appeared as Dr. Anna Del Amico on the medical drama ER (1997-1998), with other starring roles including as Lucy Robbins on the series Touch in 2013, as Michelle McBride on the first season of the TV series Goliath in 2016 and from 2017 until 2021, as the Special Agent Jacqueline "Jack" Sloane on the show NCIS. Bello was born on April 18, 1967 in Norristown, Pennsylvania,[2] to Kathy who was a school nurse and teacher and Joe Bello, a contractor.Her father is Italian American, with roots in Montella, Italy, and her mother is Polish American.She was raised in a middle-class, Catholic family and graduated from Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor, Pennsylvania. In the seventh grade at Villanova University, she majored in politics. Bello continued her acting training by taking part in various New York theatre productions. Bello as well as Dan McDermott have a son, Jackson. In November 2013, she wrote about having a sexual relationship with her ex-partner Clare Munn. She published a book entitled Whatever...Love Is love: Questioning the labels we assign to ourselves (Dey Street Books April 28, 2015).
