Her most famous work is her role in the role of Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz and Spamalot in the West End. Her work has earned three Olivier Award nominations. In 2015, she was part of the Game of Thrones fifth season cast as Septa Unella. She also played a primary role in the 2012 adaptation of Les Miserables. Waddingham was nominated for the Golden Globe Award. She has been playing the role of Rebecca Welton on the Apple TV+ comedy series Ted Lasso from 2020.
