Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born March 4 1954) is a Canadian-American actor and comedian. O'Hara has been awarded a variety of prizes, including the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara was a renowned actor when she joined in 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Along with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the main casting for the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). The following year, O'Hara and Candy began work in the sketch comedy series Second City Television (1976-1984) and she earned critical acclaim for both her work as a comic actor and writer, winning an award called the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was appointed to the Second City artistic advisory board in 2022.
