Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10, 1949) is an American businesswoman investor, speaker, consultant writer, syndicated columnist, TV personality, author and author. The Corcoran Group is a New York-based real estate brokerage. In 2001, it was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran quit the firm within a short time. Corcoran was one of the first Shark Tank investors. She was a regular on every episode of ABC's Shark Tank. Since February of 2020, she had signed 53 deals with the show, with the biggest one being $350,000 to purchase 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran is the second of 10 children from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard, was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mother and a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was a bouncing from job to job throughout Corcoran's youth. In times, her family relied on the delivery of free food from a local grocery store. Corcoran remembers her father as an intoxicated man who would sometimes treat her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially after he had been drinking. Corcoran was a struggling student in school. She later discovered that she was dyslexic. Corcoran entered high school in St. Cecilia High School Englewood after she had left her Catholic elementary school. After failing several classes during her first year, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School and received a grade of D.
